WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT TATTOOS AND PIERCINGS?
" To my mind, I am not a fashion follower, so I don't like body art. If I meet somebody on the street who has got a tattoo it's ok for me especially if the tattoo looks nice. Today many people have a tattoo or a piercing and I don't know why, perhaps to look fashionable. At the begining tattoos were designed by the Maoris who lived in the Pacific Ocean islands. After people began to have tattoos to say they were in a gang or belong to a community. For example in Japan, there's a gang called Yakuza I think. Their members have huge tattoos all over their bodies. Actually I wouldn't like one but if I had a tattoo it would be an eagle flying on my chest or my shoulder because the eagle is my favourite animal"

In my opinion piercings are very fashionable and wonderful. Some young people are crazy about this trend and I feel concerned too. I have a lot of piercings: on my nose, ears, navel and lip! I love it! I don't have tattoos but I think it expresses your personality : it won't be the same design if you're a goth,a skater or a fashion slave! Nevertheless, tattoos and piercings can be really dangerous for your health sometimes (you can get an infection for instance). Moreover, some people will never accept body art and it can be a real  problem at work."

" There are many reasons why people choose to have a tattoo. In the 19th century it became popular among criminals and the working-class in Britain. I don't have any body art because my parents don't like it and they say it's dangerous. If I had a tattoo it would be a portrait of my girlfriend on my back beacause I love her!"

" I think tattoos give you style. I'd like a tattoo on my back but the problem is that a tattoo is for your entire life and it's not cool  becauseone can quickly regret it. The second problem is that it can be very painful and it can develop skin infections."
